This occupied staging project had so many classic Santa Fe details. Vigas, Saltillo tile, kiva fireplaces, big windows with juniper just outside and iconic views of the stunning New Mexico sky. The main entertaining spaces in this home felt as expansive as the views outside, so I had to work carefully with the furnishings and rugs on offer to establish distinct sitting areas in a variety of rooms throughout the house.

Then I began pairing down some of the items in the art collection to help show off more of the built-in shelving and decorative nichos. Potential buyers don’t get to keep the art collection, so it’s important that the architectural features of the home are highlighted.

A final round of decluttering and rearranging of lights, smaller furniture and accessories helped create good flow through the rooms.
