Creating a calm and appealing look is one goal of home staging. One color I use often in my staging projects is blue. It has a soothing effect and makes people feel comfortable. This home staging project for a Homewise model home uses blue to great effect. Here it echoes the blue in the backsplash in the kitchen, while working harmoniously with the dark brown tones in the cabinetry and lintels above the passageways.
When choosing artwork for staging projects, I generally opt for abstract pieces with neutral colors that blend with a contemporary style. The bright yellow pears under glass add a bright pop of color, playing off the movement in the art I selected behind it.
In the master bedroom, I used the soft grey walls to inspire my selection of blue and teal bedding and grey armchairs. The nailheads in the upholstered headboard pick up the brass tones in the table lamps.
