Villas Di Toscana | 2016

This project was for Arete Homes of Santa Fe’s Villas Di Toscana community. I’ve had the pleasure of staging showhomes for this longtime builder for nearly six years. I often take inspiration from architectural features when determining what goes where, and this home was no different. The buttons on the pillows, the round wood table, and the round mirrors all play off the rounded arch of the entryway, creating unity within the living room.

To draw attention upward, I chose a square-armed sofa in a rich brown that would echo the vigas in the ceilings and the lintel over the passageway to the dining area. The master bedroom benefitted from a dose of orange — a modern nod to the Southwest — in the bedspread and in the accent chair that I acquired just for this project.
