When this home was heading to market, the homeowners’ furnishings were still in place. The broker recommended they remove everything and have me stage the home. This is a perfect example of what staging can do. I changed nothing other than the furnishings and decor. You can see from the before and after images what a difference that made. The new arrangement of furnishings in the dining room optimizes flow and emphasizes the large windows and scale of the room. In the master bedroom, I scaled back the furnishings, using a matching bedroom set and a unified color palette in decor and bedding to dramatically enlarge the room. In the living room, a seating area helps define the space while the blue and grey play beautifully off the hardwood floors and darker wooden vigas. After staging, this house received an offer within five days.
