VACANT STAGING
Verano Place | 2020
One of my pursuits when I stage a home is to help potential buyers understand the possibilities of a given space. This home had a comparatively small living room that was open to the kitchen. By creating a designated seating area, it gave the impression of functionally separate spaces that still felt connected, while making the home as a whole feel larger. Many of the homes I stage have features that are unique to Santa Fe. I make sure I highlight those as much as possible. This home in Eldorado had it all — wood vigas, adobe Trombe walls, traditional brick flooring, and large south-facing windows. I staged the home with low profile furniture and a light color palette to keep the focus on the view and the open feeling. I arranged the decor and furnishings to draw attention to the home’s unique New Mexican details. Within one day the home had a viable offer — and that was in the middle of a pandemic!
