VACANT STAGING

Canto Del Pajaro | 2020

Map

Sometimes all a home needs is a proper staging. This home was built in 2015 and didn’t need any repairs — everything was clean, operational, and move-in ready. Yet the home sat on the market empty with little interest for nearly six weeks before a new broker recommended the sellers have the house professionally staged. The transformation was immediate! Now, instead of trying to make sense of empty spaces, potential buyers are able to envision themselves living in the home. Arranging the furniture to show potential uses of the spaces helps them make emotional connections in a way that an empty house does not. For the color palette here, I play off the tones in the flooring, the warm wood in the lintels and doors, as well as the stacked stone treatment on the accent walls. Architecturally, the staging highlights the cathedral ceilings, the dramatic fireplace, and the views to the expertly landscaped backyard.
