Some homes require more than simply arranging furniture and decor. As part of my staging service I offer recommendations that elevate homes to meet their desired asking price. This home needed a few upgrades if it was to compete in the million-dollar home range. After client approval, I scheduled and oversaw all needed work. We replaced outdated light fixtures with contemporary options that helped modernize the space. Small details gave the home a more sophisticated appearance — such as adding a mirror to a bathroom and switching out cabinet hardware. I also saw to maintenance issues that buyers won’t overlook in a high-end home, including regrading the driveway, repairing windows and stucco, and some replastering. Staging the home, I went with a clean, contemporary style, keeping decor and furnishings to a minimum so buyers could enjoy the views through the windows while allowing sunlight to play off the diamond finish walls.
